Ambient intelligence, zero dashboards

Ask in plain language, inside the flow of work, and receive a governed, cited answer drawn from your own data, not another dashboard to hunt through. This is the shift from self-service BI to answer-engine BI.

The service

What is ambient intelligence in BI?

Ambient intelligence is business intelligence that comes to you: a question in natural language is translated into governed queries over your data, and the response returns as a direct, cited answer, not a chart to interpret.

Under the surface sits a disciplined pipeline: a semantic layer mapping business language to certified metrics; retrieval over the institutional memory layer for context and definitions; query generation constrained to governed sources; and answers composed with references to the exact figures they drew on. If the system cannot ground an answer in a certified source, it says so rather than improvising. The refusals build as much trust as the answers.

From question to cited answer

1

Ask

A plain language question, in the tools people already use.

2

Interpret

The semantic layer maps business language to certified metrics.

3

Query

Generation constrained to governed sources. Nothing improvised.

4

Answer

A direct, cited response, or an honest refusal when no certified source exists.

5

Learn

Acceptance is measured; definitions and coverage improve continuously.

What you get

What does the engagement deliver?

Certified semantic layer

Your metrics and dimensions defined once, certified, and enforced, so “revenue” means one thing in every answer, in every team.

Answers in the flow of work

Governed, cited responses delivered in the tools people already use, with acceptance measured from day one.

A BI team moved up the chain

Your analysts stop servicing chart backlogs and start certifying metrics, curating the semantic layer and auditing the engine.

How we deliver

Who runs the engagement?

One Forward Deployed Engineer: a senior engineer embedded in your team, accountable for a cited answer engine over your first decision-heavy domain.

The arc is consistent: pick the domain with the most repetitive questions, certify its semantic layer, wire governed answering into the flow of work, and measure acceptance from day one. The dashboards you keep become exhibits the answer engine cites, not the destination.

No bench. No handoffs. One Forward Deployed Engineer: in your team, on the hook for the outcome.
